Meet Dr. Maxwell Thaney

Dr. Thaney is originally from Chili, New York. He graduated from The Aquinas Institute in 1996. From there he went on to attend Walsh University in Canton, OH, where he earned a B.S. in Biology. It was also at Walsh that he met his wife, Mary.
After graduating from Walsh University, Dr. Thaney attended Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry. He graduated in 2004 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. While at Case Western, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Radiology and volunteered his time in a free clinic and with the "Give Kids a Smile Day" program.
Dr. Thaney returned to Rochester and has been practicing in the area since 2004. He has spent numerous hours in continuing education seminars across the country. Dr. Thaney considers his continued education and training to be of paramount importance to the dental health of his patients. He has attended courses at the prestigious Spear Education institute to advance his education in esthetic dentistry. He has taken additional courses ranging from cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy to pharmacology and full mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Thaney is also a member of the Monroe Dental Society, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society and Seventh District Dental Society.
Dr. Thaney and his wife, Mary, have two children, Brigid and Patrick. They live Greece. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, running, and watching college athletics (you can't marry a girl from Ohio and not root for Ohio State).
