In August of 1984 Dr. Tod Twichell came to Brockport after completing a year long general practice residency at Erie County Medical Center which followed graduation from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. At that time he joined the practice founded by Dr. Harold Craw and within 3 years purchased the practice.
Today the practice of Tod Twichell DDS is located at 64 North Main St, Brockport, situated in the plaza behind 58 Main Restaurant. This location offers ample parking and ground level access. The office environment provides large comfortable treatment rooms with modern equipment such as computers and flat screen monitors for displaying digital x-rays and intra-oral photographs. Patients get to see what the doctor sees and the Casey Video Program or Cosmetic Imaging systems can show you what your treatment will look like before it is completed. While technology is a major part of today’s dentistry, for this office, patient comfort is the key priority. “The main factor in creating client comfort is the genuine concern and attention given by every member of our well-trained team”, says Dr Twichell. Also, improved techniques, such as, in the delivery of local anesthetics make the process much more comfortable than in years past. Office supply manager, Amy Bruchhauser says that, “when it comes to investing in new technology, Dr Twichell’s focus is always on the patient’s comfort both physically and emotionally.” During your appointment, you can request the Video Glasses; which will give you the experience of relaxing at a movie theater. Even lengthy appointments become very comfortable when time passes so quickly watching the movie of your choice. We also offer items such as music headphones, chair cushions, pillows and blankets. However, it is the gentle touch and emotional support of a caring individual whose goal is to help that means the most.
For those who feel they need a higher level of service, conscious sedation with a sleeping pill or nitrous oxide is available. Dr Twichell has completed over 1,000 hours of continuing education to bring you the most up to date dental service available. Dr Tod Twichell and his team want to thank all of you that joined us for our 25th anniversary on August 27th, including the four 3 generation families and one 4 generation family. Dr. Twichell was truly moved and looks forward to serving you for many years to come.
